My girl rocks her handmade tee

I have no idea where Ava, my 6 yo, gets these crazy ideas from! hehe! I'm sure she was just stalling the whole going to bed thing but she really wanted to make a "I Rock" tee for school the next day. How am I going to say no to this?? So we took out an old long sleeve white shirt, cut the sleeves off and grabbed some markers!

What I found interesting is by the time she returned home from school her mindset had changed. I heard her say, I don't rock, I'm just ordinary. No way girl! You are as unique as they come! Isn't it amazing how fast we go from feeling on top of the world to doubting our abilities once we walk out our doors?

So I'm going to leave us with the inspiring thoughts of Dr. Suess, "Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!"

Chin up and big smiles,

Thanks Traci! I'm sure over the years, I will be reminding her often. It's tough growing up and feeling confident. Hugs! misty
