Local linchpin meetups and the manifesto
Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 12:40PM Seth Godin, author and creator of "Linchpin: Are You Indispensable", has encouraged 1000's of linchpins to connect locally to inspire and challenge each other to do great things. Last week I met with Austin linchpins, a very smart diverse group of people I had the honor to meet because I mustered up the energy to get out and network. Often not easy! One great idea that came from the meetup was to develop an outreach program to inspire linchpin kids! Imagine if we were all taught at a young age to be passionate about our work, fearless in how we do it and to press on through the naysayers!

My favorite part of the Linchpin manifesto: The more I put in, the more the world gives back. I believe in this 110% and see it in action daily. Rule-breaking works better and is worth the effort. Success and happiness does not come from following the rules. A fact of life. Although I do believe you can break the rules and maintain integrity. Big difference.
