Zip lining and swimming holes...my mini-vacation in Austin!

I played hooky last week and took an Austin vacation while my dad and stepmom were in town. The week started off with ZZ Top at the new backyard. They are still rocking the house after all these years!

Then I booked a very fun and beautiful zip lining tour through the Cypress Trees! It was a blast and inspiring to see a couple of women work through their fear of heights. Not an easy thing to do when you have to zip through huge Cypress Trees 40 feet above ground and water! Or can't see the next platform where the zip line ends!

One of the bridges we had to walk across backyards for a challenge. Note the space between the steps!

That's me!

I showed my dad one of my favorite places....Krause Springs!! A family-owned 115 acre property with over 32 springs on the property. Raved to be one of the best swimming holes in Texas!

Austin is an amazing city with so much to do! I definitely feel at home here :) I also realized when people visit, you can't try to pack all the experiences and sight-seeing into one-week!

I hope I've inspired you to explore your own backyard and try something new!
