Inspiring moments: Ava's bracelet stand on a chilly, 37 degree morning

Ava was determined to sell her handmade bracelets this morning in the driveway. The temperature outside: a whopping 37 degrees. Actually this is warm compared to yesterday. She asked me if she could setup a stand and I told her to wait until it gets warmer, there would be more people walking around the neighborhood. In the time I went off to do something, this determined young lady was sitting in the driveway with her stand all setup and bracelets looking fabulous. OK, I guess we're selling bracelets on this chilly Sunday morning.

Don't they look fabulous? Materials: Pipecleaner and beads. She was selling them for $0.50/each.

Results from one-hour of selling her goods: 5 bracelets sold and $2.50 for the piggy bank! Not bad!

She's just like her mama, doesn't let "no" get in her way!

Hi Misty,
Your daughter is highlighting a very great skill to have! I get this feeling that she believes very much in what she's doing, and bad weather (physically bad for you, but I'm also thinking of the storms of life we all inevitably face) doesn't stop her. I think kids inherently "get" this. And as we get older, we become too reserved. Anyway, very awesome story to read here today! Rock on Ava!!!

Lance, thanks for your comment. It's true...kids do remind us that we need to go back to being more impromptu and just going for it! In the sun, it wasn't that bad and I had a chance to catch up with all my neighbors so we both came in pretty happy :) Love your positive site: http://www.jungleoflife.com/

Cheers! Misty
