Magical Christmas moments
Friday, January 1, 2010 at 11:46AM For Christmas we flew into LA from Austin and then rented a RV for the first time. Our trip started out very rough. We couldn't find our kitty so ended up leaving the house very late after tearing the house apart looking for her. So late that we got to the Austin airport at 8:00 am for a 8:35 am flight. Thank god for Austin hospitality and a Southwest angel. We actually made our flight! A miracle!
A lady looked at me holding Molly, who is 18-months, while getting the RV and said, "my, you're courageous." The RV wasn't the problem with Molly. The issue is she will not sleep unless she is in her crib! This equals one very tired mom when we go on "vacations"... We did love the RV for having our own space, bathroom and keeping our luggage in one place. Although we weren't very impressed with Cruise America, the RV was pretty old and the fridge didn't work....I would be interested in knowing if they have any competition. If not, they need some...
Besides the usual holiday chaos, here are some magical moments from our trip and visiting with family! Oh, did I mention we took out a bus mirror while driving the RV through LAX airport to grab our lost piece of luggage?
Back to those magical moments...

Our adventure begins!

Cousins playing...I bought them matching dresses for Christmas!

My little molly who is sweet, fiesty and scrumptious all at the same time. And 50% of the reason mama doesn't get much sleep.
The beautiful ranch my stepmom and her husband purchased in Santa Ynez (for a steal). This is the view from the front door. It was so peaceful on Christmas day...kids spent the entire day outside sliding down hills and hiking.
A Christmas tree they paid $21 for because they bought it a few days before Christmas!! WOW!
Ava, my 5 year old, very excited santa gave her a camera...
New friends were made.
I was reminded to not leave the room for 2-minutes or else there will be oatmeal everywhere!!
A new year for new memories...
Mama, I promise you will sleep more in 2010!
Here's to more magical moments in 2010!

I am sure we will get back out there after time passes and I forget that Molly doesn't sleep when we leave the house...lol.
