Founder of The Soaring Spirits Loss Foundation, Michele HernandezIf you are a widow or know anyone who has lost a spouse or close one - please share this event and community information!
Michele Hernandez, a widow herself and Founder of The Soaring Spirits Loss Foundation, is on a mission to provide a compassionate community for anyone grieving the loss of a loved one. The first conference, The National Conference on Widowhood, will be held in San Diego next week to provide a variety of inspiring role models, a hope-filled, supportive environment, and programs focused on giving women and men the tools they need to rebuild their lives after the devastating loss of a spouse.
I love these inspiring details Michele shared with me:
- Women are coming from seven different countries: US, Canada, Singapore, Kenya, India, Iraq, and the UK to support and educate women about the condition of global widowhood.
- We have attendees from all over the country coming by plane, train, and automobile!
- We will have about fifteen attending authors who have written about their widowhood experience and are sharing hope with other widows through their writing.
- We have an outdoor concert, a no-date-required semi-formal banquet, and the Widow Dash 5K...encouraging ladies to RUN for their life!
- This gathering is a celebration of life and hope...there will be lots of laughter and many friendships will be made.
I am so excited to have all these ladies together! ~ Michele Hernandez

It would be nice to have another conference on widowhood in San Diego to help people cope with the loss of loved ones here.
