Hello from Austin!

Austin actually has tons of trees, lakes and rolling hills. Not exactly what you imagine when you think Texas.

Hello! Hello! I survived. Again. And hope to not say "if I can survive this, I can survive anything" for a long time. This is how my last two-weeks went down. A week before the movers came, I threw a big birthday party/going away party for my oldest daughter, Ava. Then I packed the house with two girls under foot while my hubby was out of town.  The movers came in last minute and packed the kitchen (thank god!) and garage. Beware - movers pack everything! Even your trash if you're not careful! Then I jumped into our mini-van with our two-girls and cat for a 23-hour drive with my husband following in his truck towing the boat. While he was listening to satellite radio and jamming out in his truck - I was held prisoner to hearing Clifford, Dora, and Blue's Clue's. Again and again. I only threatened Ava once, ok maybe twice, that I would make her ride (I might have said "throw you") in the back of dad's truck. LOL. Thankfully, we arrived safely and our furniture came in yesterday. Yeah!

So now you know why I haven't updated My Inspiration Lounge, InspirationLounge.tv, been on Twitter or Facebook. I proved you can disconnect and still be ok :) Well I can be okay - my site traffic not so much.

We didn't waste time getting out to explore our new town. We came here for the lifestyle and there is no shortage of fun things to do. A few of our favorite things so far: sipping on margaritas and listening to good ole' Austin music at the Iguana Grill, boating on Lake Travis where we will be tubing and waterskiing this summer (I'm hoping little Molly will come to like her lifevest better), swimming in our pool, working in my new home office (no more dining room table) and meeting new friends!
