Iz sings a favorite for us, Over the Rainbow
Sunday, May 31, 2009 at 9:48PM I dedicate "Over the Rainbow" by Hawai'ian singer Israel Kaʻanoʻi Kamakawiwoʻole to my mother-in-law, Harriet Gibbs, who recently past away from lung cancer. Yesterday we scattered her ashes at sea, where her spirit is now free to dance with the dolphins.
Someday, I'll wish upon a star,
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me.
Where trouble melts like lemon drops,
High above the chimney top,
That's where you'll find me.
Oh, somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high.
And the dreams that you dare to,
Oh why, oh why can't I?

I was so moved for this program, which made my day...My Mom died of cancer...But I know we will see each other again. Thank you, Isabel Gibbs
Hi Isabel! Thank you for your comment. I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I am glad this video touched you - it was one of my mother-in-law's favorites and actually one of mine too :) My one BIG wish is that no one had to suffer or die from cancer. It's so unforgiving. Hugs, misty
