Jamie Allison with Moms In Motion...she's shakin' it up!

Every week I will shine the light on the women out there who are shakin' it up, pursuing their dreams, changing the world and inspiring others!

Let me introduce you to Jamie Allison with Moms In Motion! We met each other for the first time in January to chat business and have been friends ever since! She's one inspiring mama with two beautiful girls and I love her sweet emails that say "rock on sister sledge!" I love having you in my life and you are true inspiration sister!!

{ Tell me about Moms In Motion }

Moms In Motion provides fitness teams for women of all ages and abilities. Our company helps women simplify their lives by combining fun, fitness and philanthropy all in one organized group. Teams are typically 10-12 weeks long, end with a culminating event and range in sport including running, walking, hiking, triathlon, surfing, soccer, skiing, bootcamp and cycling! Each team has their own custom site acting as a hub for all communication, weekly workouts, training programs & logs, health & fitness articles, interactive discussion boards, nutrition, events & activities, life & wellness, recipes, inspiration, blogs and so much more. Our teams and site create a sense of community that keeps our members connected and committed to their goals! Click here to join, start your own team or find out more! misty: I need some serious running inspiration. I used to run all the time and then my first daughter was born, I was working too much...ya know, all the typical excuses!

{ Ok...give us the scoop, what sites do you love? }

Doy… My Inspiration Lounge...I’m serious! And then Ladies Who Launch for business and Runners World for running inspiration. misty: you are too kind....blush. blush. I hope all the women I feature won't feel obligated to say My Inspiration Lounge! lol...

{ What do you want to accomplish in 2009 that will get you fire-y and inspire-y? }

For me, the Boston Marathon in April, to stop using the words, “I’m too busy,” and start carving out transition time between work and family to approach each weekend relaxed, present and available. For Moms In Motion, I plan to create an alliance with a national non-profit I believe in and to continue developing our site, serving and supporting our leaders, members and sponsors. misty: ok, you had me at the Boston marathon!

{ I would love to know your favorite section of My Inspiration Lounge! hehe... }

I love receiving your Inspiration Monday! InspireMail. After watching the music videos, I find myself completely inspired and often teary because they seem to ground me, reminding me that being there for my little ones, belly laughs, profound thoughts and owies along with sharing and learning from my husband and friends… that these are the true gems of life and what fulfills me more anything else. misty: it all comes back to simple pleasures and cherishing those sweet moments in life.

{ Do you have a favorite song that gets you dancin’ and inspired? }

I love music…all kinds. But I would say that any U2 song, especially, “It’s a Beautiful Day,” gets me fired up. Not only does U2 have a great sound, their lyrics always mean something plus I love how Bono has used his success to contribute and unite the world. misty: I love U2! I can't believe I haven't played any of their videos yet. Now I will!
