Giveaway: Help your sisters out! What keeps you inspired in this tough economy?

Succulents...beautiful survivors.

I heard today "women need support from their sisters." I immediately thought of all the high-fives and encouragement I've exchanged these past months between friends and family. They complete me! With this tough economy impacting everyone, there is no better time than now for sisters to unite!

Here's what I love about women when fear and crisis stare us in the face...WE rally, get industrious, stand strong, do what it takes, overdo on the coffee, get brilliantly creative, hit the vino and feel the need to be superwoman by trying to help "everyone" when realistically it's not possible. Oh yes...let's not forget the occasional screaming, a breakdown (or two), the need to nap or go missing!

So tell us....how do you stay inspired, "alive" and happy in this tough economy? We sisters want to know!

{ I've got inspirational dough to giveaway! }

The giveaway is a $50 gift certificate to Photofiddle, where you can take your digital photos and create custom artwork instantly! To win a Photofiddle gift certificate - share what keeps you inspired in this tough economy in the comment section below! It's that easy! I will announce one winner next Wednesday, March 4th.

To inspire sisters everywhere, I created a Facebook fan page to help us spread the inspirational love in this tough economy. Please click here to become a fan!

Here's what keeps me inspired and optimistic during this economic crisis...

We're getting back to nature! Outdoor recreation and an economic recession go together like Baileys Irish Cream and your morning camp coffee. Cycling, camping, hiking, fishing and paddling activities are hot! And the number one outdoor sports on the rise right now is snowshoe jogging. Ouch.

We're making people a priority! We're all in this together and doing what it takes to help each other out. Helping with business referrals, meals, a place to stay, money, the basics, you name it - all walks of life are rallying to help.

We're learning to thrive on less AND realize we're happier with less! The best part is we now have a simple, realistic guide to help us thrive on less. Leo Babauta with Zenhabits recently wrote a book, The Power of Less, a simple guide to help all of us focus on the essentials in life. Download his free ebook: Thriving on less - simplifying in a tough economy, the companion to The Power of Less. It's a short, must-read!

We're pursuing our dreams! Statistics show with corporate jobs no longer stable and cushy, people with entrepreneurial ambitions are taking this opportunity to pursue their dreams!

Please share what inspires you for a chance to win a photofiddle and join the Facebook fan page to spread the love!

Be Inspired. Get Informed. Embrace Life.

My entreprenurial spirit is flourishing! That is what is keeping me going. Luckily, I still have my job, which I am SO thankful for. But my family and I are getting ready to launch an online store to sell handmade items. Hopefully we'll be able to encourage others to buy handmade and support cottage industries like mine! We chose a website to sell on that will donate money to rescue 25 sq feet of rainforest for EVERY sale we make, isn't that awesome? We are supporting our independent spirit and helping the environment at the same time! Wow! I am also trying to thrive on less, although it's difficult. Baby steps, right?

Inspirational: people getting to work with their stashes of yarn, fabric, etc. If not now, when?

Inspiration rocks! While we are all collectively holding our breath waiting for something to 'happen' we need to remember that to inspire is to breathe...so take a breath, relax, and trust there is something good in all this for you. For me, I revamped my coaching practice and launched a new website. We are being more frugal at home and it is actually making us more green, too (how cool is that?) by saving energy, reusing, recycling and being more mindful of waste. I am taking classes on group coaching to widen my net of people that I can inspire - while saving them money by sharing their coaching time (and investment) with others. I am appreciating what we have instead of focusing on having more. Taking action instead of letting fear paralyze us is what will help us all feel more in control and hopeful. Let this time take your breath away instead of knocking the wind out of you.
