Today, I fell in love again with the power of twitter. What you don't often hear about Twitter in the media or from non-tweeters (who still judge twitter even though they have never tried it) is the strong global community that comes together for special events or causes to share, support and inspire each other. Most people can't find this in their local community or own neighborhoods so the web fulfills this need by giving us micro communities to partcipate and connect globally. The best thing I've seen to come from the web and platforms like Facebook and Twitter is the unveiling of truths, honesty and the beauty of life. People share and open up like never before.

The Women's Conference, founded by Maria Shriver, proved this true when the power of twitter came alive with men and women tweeting simultaneously their experience while attending the conference in Long Beach or watching the webcast. That's powerful!
