The Lazy Girl's Guide To Cooking (or Not!)

Sometimes I really don't like dinner time. If the fridge is bare, it can be a painful process. This is not good when you have big eaters in your family and I DO. Don't get me wrong, I love to eat...simply that is or when someone else is cooking. Not when it requires dragging myself to the store to buy a zillion ingredients I have never heard of before. Thankfully...we barbeque A LOT, Costco is my hero and my husband is a pretty good cook :)

Then there is lunch-time. How many times have you found yourself zoning out in front of the computer screen because you're beyond starving? Let's not forget the wonderful side effects of waiting too long to find food...snappy, cranky, tired, and unproductive.

This is why I created the Cook and Entertain section at My Inspiration Lounge. To help women find easy recipes, no-cook meals, healthy alternatives, and ideas for when we are buzzing around. And these days, one can't get enough tips on how to cook during a recession!

Explore Unleash The Chef In You to find meal-planning sites like the Six o'Clock Scramble. Scramble no more! She offers up 5 healthy recipes for the week that can be cooked in 30 minutes or less. After you decide the scrumptious 5 - print out the grocery list that will set you up for the week!

My next favorite stop for dinner ideas is the Dinner Tonight blog by Martha Stewart's Everyday Food site. They have ideas for one-pot meals, slow-cooker recipes, 30-minutes or less and comfort foods. Or you can check out, Make Your Own Damn Dinner! I think I've been guilty of saying this to my hubby a few times ;)

I haven't encountered one person not trying to save money right now. The 20 healthiest foods for under $1 helps us out.

For lunch on the go, try out these portable superfoods: hard-boiled eggs, cheese and whole-grain crackers, leafy greens, quinoa for quick salads, avocado, edamame, and granola for a great yogurt add-in.

Now every girl loves to entertain if it doesn't require too much work. Don't forget to check out the Essentials For A Fun Party to get you inspired!
