10 easy exercises anyone can do right now

One of my favorite online ladies is Jennifer Tuma-Young. We chat on the phone like we've known each other forever but we've never met. She's the real deal and editor of inspirista lifestyle. She is passionate about helping women take small steps to eating healthier, getting fit and feeling good. No big hairy, unachievable goals that cause instant anxiety. No fad diets. Small steps, moderation and simple pleasures is how she does it. My kind of lady! So without further ado, here's...

10 exercises anyone can do right now even if your miles from the gym:

  1. Breathe deeply
  2. Hold your tummy tight
  3. Stretch your arms out wide
  4. Do some side bends
  5. Lunge up the staircase
  6. Do calf raises while waiting
  7. Don’t drive thru – actually park and walk
  8. Offer to help carry something (a neighbor’s groceries, co-worker’s bags, boxes that need to be moved)
  9. Twist and punch to whittle the waist and move those arms
  10. Rule of the next level: if you are sitting, stand. If you are standing, walk. If you are walking, run.

On Inspirista Lifestyle, Jennifer also shares 3 things she lived, loved and learned for that day. A great way to reflect and remember special moments that pass by without a thought.

To small steps,

I always try to do 'everyday exercises', like going up on the stairs instead of the elevator, take the bike instead of car, walk on bus stop etc. These are very simple things, but does a lot of good on the long run. Great post, I bookmark it.
